2013 PJC Biennial Conference

"Improving Professionalism through Collaboration and Action"

September 23-26, 2013 Guam

This year’s Conference for judges will focus on the interplay between collaboration and action.  Presentations on evidence, how to work with court interpreters, a review of supreme court cases from the 2012-2013 term, and sessions on attorney sanctioning and judicial discipline will explore this interplay in greater detail.  The purpose is to bring together the chief justices and their judge designates (two from each member court) from both the PJC member island judiciaries and to give the judges a chance to think deeply about the appropriate role of the judicial branch, to learn from one another, and to give each other strength from the friendships and mutual support developed at these Conferences.
